profile 2Nancy R. Lambert (she/her) is a writer, ghostwriter, and copywriter based in NYC. She specializes in children’s licensed properties and work-for-hire projects, including early readers, picture books, short stories, and activity books for clients like HarperCollins Children’s Books, Disney Press, Marvel Press, and Penguin Random House. She also writes children’s app scripts for Disney Publishing Worldwide.

She’s written and ghostwritten more than 50 books for kids and teens and her work is included in the middle grade anthology, Don’t Turn Out the Lights: A Tribute to Alvin Schwartz’s Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (HarperCollins, 2020). She’s also written for Entertainment Weekly, TIMELIFE, Tor.com, Time Out New York Kids, Highlights Hello, and other national publications. She was a 2019 U.S. National Park Service Artist-in-Residence at Fire Island National Seashore. In addition to her work as a pop culture author and freelance copywriter, she volunteers with Read Ahead and 826NYC.

Nancy also writes speculative fiction as N.R. Lambert.
